There is no indication in the manual of how to thread the filament through the machine. There are some holes on the top surface of the main body that look like they could do the job. After passing through the hole, the filament can be clamped inside the cold extrusion head by pressing down on the side lever, inserting the filament, and releasing the lever.

Shapeways sent me my cat object(made by shapeways based on my 3D cat model which used for my virtual item in second life).

 

FUN!!!

 

i'm exciting about possibility that virtual item designers can be realistic object designers!!!

It prints, but I've got a lot of fine tuning to do, as well as adding end-stops and dealing with wire management.

 

Got a glitch somewhere that caused a Y axis offset about 4mm into a 20x20x20 build.
