The possibilities from 3D printers seem endless. I liked it for the theme. I got to observe it at an invitation-only conference in Chicago called ORDCamp. There is a nearby public library as well that has one for use so more and more possibilities indeed.

the 3d printer i built for about 300 bucks. I used it to print the lcd box (pink)

i used cat5 to wire the motors with floppy drive power connectors soldered to the other end because i didn't want to buy more wires

the chinese finger trap wire covers came from a salvaged power supply

i replaced the glass bed with 1/8" aluminum
