The extruder carriage rides on the X rods with two 45mm long LM8LUU linear bearings. LM8LUU bearings have 8mm ID, 15mm OD, and 45mm length. The cutouts in the carriage for the bearings is approximately 0.5 inches wide. This allows the carriage to ride approximately 1 mm above the top of the X rods.
