The idea was to find a picture with a lot of flaking paint in it. I found one on www.urbex.nl/site/fdgb-erholungsheim/ made by Andre Joossen. The next step was to rebuilt that picture in Blender. In the end I was a bit fed up with building the pieces of flaking paint. So it all ended with this test render with a funky ceiling.
