A render of still frame of a custom built 3D model of Hoover Dam. The model was developed by Ideum for a collaborative project with Hoover Dam and the Bureau of Reclamation.This model was used a series of interactive that were built for educational outreach.
Using a Eagle model (Space 1999 ship) from Foundation3d.com, I did a standard render and an occlusion pass.
I was curious to see how Photoshop might handle applying occlusion to a base image with the Darken and Multiply settings.
Results were pretty much as expected though I didn't expect that the Multiply would look so much better and that the Darken would have so many artifacts. (seen around the cockpit)
