Something that shocked me when I first arrived in South Africa was the huge social divide between black and white people. It is rare to see either side integrated in social gatherings or working together. Most of the white people are regarded as the boss, with black people working for them. This is something which diminishes during game capture. Everyone works together as one unit, in response to the animal’s welfare. On a recent capture, in-between the chaos, I noticed that even in this situation when side by side, there was still an obvious divide clearly indicated along the Rhinos back.
