Another pic of the GCT-liveried Volvo B9/Wright! This time it was caught as it crossed the Broomielaw outside the Clutha Vaults pub. It's on a highly appropriate service - the 5 (City Centre - Castlemilk), a route which hasn't changed for decades.

It still is in this splendid livery some two years later and is a credit to First Glasgow, who also have kept adverts off it too.

Caught as it climbs up Hope Street, is the Glasgow Corporation-liveried Volvo B9TL/Wright. One of the 61-branded B9s is following. Both buses will head north up Maryhill Road. Three of First Glasgow’s Geminis received heritage liveries to mark the 125th anniversary of public transport in the city.

Seen in Easterhouse is the second of First Glasgow's heritage repaints in the form of Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B9TL 37738 - SF09LDJ in Glasgow Corporation Transport livery.

The second of the Glasgow heritage liveries to appear is this Volvo B9TL in the 1960s Glasgow Corporation livery. This was the simplified scheme, designed for spray painting. Caught at Buchanan Bus Station on the service to Torrance, a place not served by Glasgow Corporation.

Not apologising for more pics of the still-pristine heritage buses in Glasgow. Looking fine and without adverts since they were turned out in the first half of 2019. The 1960s GCT livery sits really well on this Wright-bodied Volvo B9TL as it descends Renfield Street on a quiet Sunday lunchtime.

A flashback to late spring 2019, and the promotional line-up for Glasgow's 125 event. Nearest the camera are 1980s-liveried Volvo B7TL/Gemini 32657 and Leyland Atlantean LA1204, in 1970s GGPTE livery are B9/Gemini 37751 and Ailsa AV1. At the far end and representing the 1960s are B9/Gemini 37738 and AEC Regent V A350. www.gvvt.org

One of the three heritage-liveried buses with First Glasgow is this Volvo B9/Wright Gemini. It has spent a year in the 1960s colour scheme and is a credit to First. They’ve really looked after all three. 37738 has been the most active during the lockdown phase and was caught on Glasgow Bridge heading for Silverburn (aka the Pollok Centre).
