Two ways of life in the same country

A very threatening cloud bank over the Adelaide Hills. I spotted it on my way home from work, parked, and sprinted, well, geezered, out into the middle of some playing fields in the South Parklands and started snapping. Quite pleased I made the effort. The image is a six-shot photo merge using Photoshop.

We have been having some rather wild Spring weather of late including a local deluge almost centred on our house.

Funny story. Well, humorous. Okay, cute. I was at my dentist's office - this was 19 years ago and I still remember - and he had brought in an orchid. He was in love with this flower. He didn't know what kind of orchid, and 19 years later, neither of us does. He asked me to "get a picture of the flower." Went out to the car, got my camera, and came back to get the image. Then I told him not to hurt me...

The Orchidaceae have about 28,000 currently accepted species, distributed in about 763 genera. If any of you would care to narrow this down, please do.

P.S. Great camera, huh. It was an Olympus.
