সরস্বতী পূজা takes me back to my sweet childhood. It was the only occasion when the juniors of the family felt so important because we used to organize the whole program and it was meant to be for us (as we could never satisfy our parents with our results). The design of the মন্ডপ, selecting প্রতিমা (the deity), lighting and which devotional music to be played, everything was in our discretion. No study and good foods! Aah, Sweet memories never fade!

In Jagannath Hall, University of Dhaka, we celebrate the occasion extravagantly. Every department has their own মন্ডপ and they want to reflect their subjects/departments in their decoration. Night time is even more illustrious. The whole area is illuminated with fancy lights and covered with soothing music. If you can dare the cold weather, University of Dhaka would be worth visiting.

I was there yesterday evening. The preparation was going on daring the chilling cold. Lightmen were doing their works. Students were busy in decorating and planning. For sometime, I got nostalgic.

366 Day 285: I spent today on one of the most challenging mountaineering expeditions of my career - a sponsored multiple ascent of the fearsome and legendary 100m-high Fulking North Wall on the South Downs of Sussex ;-)

The sponsorship is in aid of my son Craig's gap year fund - he is off soon to spend the coming winter playing cricket for Epping Bulls in Sydney, Australia.

Here, Craig is celebrating the 16th and last ascent of our climbs, which included several on the magnificent Direct route. Three of us each climbed 1600m - our combined total of 4800m is equivalent to Mont Blanc. We were hoping to achieve 8800m (Everest) but were two people light of our original plans.

And despite their youth and exhuberance, I have to crow a little that the old man was still going strong at the end of the day when the boys were on their knees - 30 years of mountaineering has had its advantages ...

Klinische Hypnose kann helfen bei Verlustangst und Eifersucht, sagt der Hypnosetherapeut und Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie Dr. phil. Denn im Unbewussten liegen Kräfte, auf die der bewusste Verstand und bewusste Wille oftmals keinen Zugriff nehmen können. Sicherlich ist niemand gerne eifersüchtig (allerdings ist es gar nicht so selten, dass bei jeweiligen Menschen der Wunsch besteht, einen anderen eifersüchtig zu machen). Niemand leidet auch gern an Verlustangst. Doch hinter dem Begriff Verlustangst kann sich verschiedenes verbergen, gibt der Hypnosetherapeut Dr. phil. Elmar Basse von der Praxis für Hypnose Hamburg zu bedenken. Insbesondere könnte man sich die Frage stellen, ob es sich bei der sogenannten Verlustangst tatsächlich um eine Angst handelt oder nicht vielmehr um dasjenige, worauf sich der Begriff Eifersucht bezieht, sagt Elmar Basse.

Sicherlich gibt es eine Reihe von Menschen, die tatsächlich Angstpatienten sind und bei denen sich ihre Angst als Verlustangst äußert. Des Weiteren wird vielfach angenommen, die Eifersucht sei auch in Wirklichkeit eine Angst, nämlich eine Verlustangst, und der Betroffene reagiere auf diese Angst, indem er Eifersucht an den Tag lege. Auch die an Eifersucht leidenden Menschen erklären sich ihre Eifersucht oftmals lebensgeschichtlich daraus, dass sie Verlusterfahrungen hätten, die sie nicht hinreichend verarbeiten konnten und die jetzt ihre Eifersucht verursachen würden, weiß der Hypnosetherapeut Dr. phil. Elmar Basse von der Praxis für Hypnose Hamburg.

Doch wie wäre es, wenn es genau umgekehrt wäre? Wer sich den eifersüchtigen Menschen anschaut, der erblickt nicht zunächst einen ängstlichen Menschen, sondern ganz im Gegenteil einen durchaus angespannt-aggressiven (was nicht gewalttätig heißt, sondern eher durchsetzungsorientiert). Er weicht nicht ängstlich zurück, sondern kontrolliert und fordert ein. Auch bei Menschen mit Verlustangst zeigt sich häufig ein ganz ähnliches Bild, sagt der Hypnosetherapeut Dr. phil. Elmar Basse von der Praxis für Hypnose Hamburg.

Hier liegt der Einwand auf der Hand: Gerade die Forderungsbereitschaft und Aggressivität würden ja aus der Angst herstammen. Wegen ihrer Angst würden sich die Menschen so verhalten und so denken und fühlen. Doch das ist ein reines gedankliches Konstrukt, sagt Elmar Basse. Hier wird den betreffenden Menschen eine Angst untergeschoben, weil es sich im eigenen Theoriegebäude nicht anders einordnen lässt. Wenn es sich aber wirklich um Angst handeln würde, dann sollte sich Ängstlichkeit im Leben der Betroffenen auch in anderen Bereichen zeigen. Gerade hier lehrt die Erfahrung aber genau das Gegenteil. Das Thema des eifersüchtigen Menschen ist die innere Anspannung, die ihn festhalten lässt und die nicht damit wegerklärt werden sollte, dass man sie zu einer Angst umdefiniert, gibt Elmar Basse zu bedenken, weil man damit den Betroffenen nicht wirklich gerecht werden könnte. ... pr-gateway.de/t/366285
