For 366 and FGR - Go and Bokeh Yourself!

I thought I'd collect some little bokehs to share out for a very happy bokeh Wednesday :)

Please donate to my Movember moustache growing fun-a-thon, if you can. Thank you.

[edit] - we hit explore at #1!!! Thank you SO much!

Good Night from Southern Michigan.

For 366 and FGR - Half Dressed Tuesdays (which I was, I had socks on)

Today I went through all my contacts, and got rid of every one of the porn ones. There were a frightening number of people linking to me who I had no idea about - most had no pictures available (ahem, yeah right) and some had pretty hardcore stuff.

Lots of people take their clothes off on here - sometimes it's for sexual pictures, sometimes for humorous pictures. Sometimes they do it to make a statement, and sometimes it's through boredom. Whatever the reason, it's only a body and not something to be afraid of.

I'm not porn though, sir. Oh no. Don't look at your monitor and do that. Not in my direction.

Another night out. This calls for FANCY SHOE ACTION!

While returning a book to the shelf, in the hall, something distracts me. I try to walk on by, but it is useless to waste thoughts of false intentions. Admittedly, it is the alure of the light that brings me into the office today. I reassure myself that I won't stay long. Then, in this wandering moment, I know the image for my project can be this today.

I believe that when we are mindfully present and soulfully appreciating all things, big and small, nothing is ordinary.

Until tomorrow, xo.

We had a very pleasant walk this morning before work. Not very long but long enough to be a great start to the day.

We used to go out walking really early when Riley was younger but we've stopped recently. I like the vibe of early mornings and the lack of other people about so we shall get back on it.

One here of my usual view whilst out walking, with me 20 paces behind due to stopping to take pictures.

Happy days.

Day sixty-two of lock-down in the UK.

Stay safe and well everyone.

Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo. Any comments or Faves are very much appreciated

Fun time watching (only watching!) the ice climbing in Ouray, Colorado at the Ice Park.

A lovely night in, some wine and classic Tom Baker Doctor Who episodes.

A happy moog. Yes.

Complimentary Colours

Sat in the garden trying to capture some of the birds flying by. I have feeders along the fence but while I was sat there none of the small birds would come down

Checked out the hedgerows today and it was good to blow away the cobwebs!

I think this fern is Dryopteris carthusiana but not 100% sure. I should get a book on ferns but it wouldn't do me much good in New Mexico as I usually on see ferns in the garden centres being sold as house plants.

For 366 and FGR - Silly Self Portraits. (For the lovely Crustydolphin)

I *finally* got around to watching the last two POTC films, and I quite enjoyed them!

Now. you're going to have to excuse the fact that I'm still wearing a t-shirt and jumper in this, I'm far too hungover to be meticulously putting clothes in place, and the hair took FAR too long.

{edit] - We made explore! Number 2 with a bullet, baby!

Day 20 of lockdown.

One of the problems with limiting my camera settings (f8, ISO 200 at 17mm) is the lack of shutter speed on dull dark days. But I'm determined to finish my little challenge, so movement will have to be blurred :)))

My next challenge will be to keep all the settings the same, shutter speed as well. The reason being, is that I've bought a Holga and that has pretty much fixed everthing, and I'd like to stand a reasonable chance of knowing what I could expect, before wasting tons of film.

Caterpillar

Tonight we went for a walk along the canal again, saw the biggest caterpillar, easily the length and width of my little finger.

I dread to see the size of moth it turns into.

The closest internet search brings up a tomato hornworm caterpillar, but it was nowhere near any tomato plants.

Not the best picture but I thought it was quite interesting.

Yay, I spotted one, although I didn't really have a long enough lens, but it was so good just to see him :)

All the playgrounds were deserted in July, and I remember taking this on one of them while the Little One was playing in the sand (and trying to eat handfuls of it).

After a steady rain yesterday and overnight, this hellebore was covered in raindrops.

Plenty of little primroses growing in the local churchyard this morning.

I've ummed and ahhd about doing another 365 for some time. While I've enjoyed 2019 off I have become a little lazy with the camera. Instead opting for couch and soul draining tv which has done me no favours.

My existing skills need a good polishing up and there are many other areas of photography to learn so I thought I should get back at it.

Kicking proceedings off with a shot from today's family walk around Ladyclough woods, using a new tilt shift adaptor which arrived yesterday. A full 2 months after I ordered it from Ali Express....It was cheap though so worth the wait :)

The light was beautiful up there but all too fleeting and factor in trying to get my head around using the new adaptor made for a tricky afternoon's shooting.

Lots more to come with it though and I can't wait to add the effect to my light painting stuff.

This is number 1 of my 366 for 2020.

Happy days.

366/2020 - 2020 Vision ~ 273/366

After an afternoon walk we ended up in a local park. It was so peaceful. We sat and had our picnic lunch quite a way behind this couple who chose to sit a little closer to the pond to have their lunch. We all moved when the man on the lawnmower came to cut the grass and break the silence that we’d all enjoyed!
