Ichneumon

Ces insectes ressemblent généralement à des guêpes, mais ils s’en distinguent par des antennes plus longues et plus segmentées.

La femelle pond ses œufs sur ou dans des insectes vivants. Elle peut choisir des chenilles, des pupes ou des chrysalides.

Les ichneumons sont ainsi très utiles au jardin en tuant une quantité importante de chenilles nuisibles.
