Absure Tower: At 144 feet tall with a unique facade and a commanding location at 12th and Main Streets, this building helps define downtown Wheeling. Designed by architect Charles W. Bates, who also designed Wheeling's Capitol Theatre, this 10-story building opened in 1915. This building originally housed the National Bank of West Virginia.
