I'd tell you what this is, but I'm pretty sure you can easily iron it out.

Our new house has a burn (Scottish for stream) running through it and we own the part of it that flows through our garden. Tracing the burn on our Ordinance Survey (OS) map I could see that there was a waterfall marked further upstream so I had an explore with my camera and a tripod to see if I could photograph it.
It's moderately difficult to reach because it is all rough and fairly flooded ground. At one point I sank 3/4 of the way up my wellington boot in some very soft ground. The burn flows through a reasonably steep sided valley which means you have to cross the burn periodically to get the easiest route without having to scale the steep valley sides.
Anyhow, I was delighted to discover a series of 3 small waterfalls and captured some images of them.
I discovered when I got back that, according to Google Maps there is supposed to be a couple of small ponds up here as well although these aren't on the OS map, so I'll have to go in search of these next time.

Hello! It feels like forever since my last upload. However, I've actually been shooting like crazy for my photography entrance test for college admissions *fingers crossed*
I won't be posting those photos here. At least, not for a while, since they're specifically for my entrance exam.
