Pfiew this was a tough one too! Especially when you're so busy and don't have any inspiration. Or when the batteries of your flash are empty while shooting...
For inspiration I did a google search and decided after a long pondering that a rock 'n roll skirt would be nice. So I pulled all my clothes out of my closet to find a rock 'n roll-like skirt.

Assignment: PCA 35 View from the ground floor
Deadline:August 3, 2008
Image Tag: pca35
From: me and them
Mission:
The ground floor... there's nowhere to go but up! This time around shoot whatever you want, but what's important is where your camera is: ground level. Be it the kitchen floor, an open field or hiding underneath a church pew, your perspective is going to be that of a mouse, a fairy, an ant, or anything else similarly relegated to the world of the small. Try to find a subject that is really complemented by your earthly perspective.
For those engineering types in the group who need precision (including yours truly), you don't need to have your camera exactly in contact with the ground. Let's say no more 3 inches from ground to camera base. Get those elbows dirty!
WIT: At Lake Arrowhead, on a serious photomission, with granddaughter #2, we stopped at the playground and were immediately besieged by voracious, predatory squirrels. Having been bitten by a squirrel as a youngster and then living in fear of rabies, I was actually concerned. She was chasing them around and they were running to her. I valiantly fended them off until they got momentarily tired. I used the moment to get my camera as close to ground level as I could. Being winded from the ferocious fight, I sat on a bench and held the camera down and fired away. A lot of electrons died uselessly, but bravely. Ultimately I was the victor and this image emerged.
If this were a documentary, a tighter crop would make sense. However, I liked the surrounding battlefield, and so left it in.

The kids had an early out day, so after school we dragged out our box of Play Doh and had lots of fun being creative.
