West Yorkshire Bus Spotter, WYBS
During the last couple of year the new look to buses in Leeds began replacing older vehicles with newer EuroIV specification buses. The first batches arrived for the Headingley Corridor, for use on the 1, 6, 28 and 97 services, with the new two-tone green livery along with some red for the corridor section. Then with more Streetdecks arriving the Roundhay/Middleton routes were given a dark blue additional colour as the Dewsbury Road Corridor. For the 2, , 3, 3A 12, 13 and 13A services, while a new route the X26 and 27 used vehicles from the Headingley Corridor for the new The Springs shopping outlet, later extending to Garforth. Bramley then had new Streetdecks arrive with a dark green added colour for use on the 4, 4G and 16s, with occasional use on the 49, 50 and 50A routes.
However with the uncertainty of the Wrightbus company, which entered administration in the autumn of 2019, orders were delayed. But after a few nervous months, in late November/early December Bramley got more new Streetdecks, with grey added colour.
Here 35603 is seen working the 50 back to Seacroft, turning into Broadway from Lea Farm Road, near the green at Hawksworth.

The Apollo 13 Command Module "Odyssey" splashed down at 12:07:44 p.m. (CST), April 17, 1970, to conclude safely a perilous space flight. The three astronauts were picked up by helicopter and flown to the U.S.S. Iwo Jima. Standing at left is Captain Leland E. Kirkemo, Commanding Officer of the U.S.S. Iwo Jima.
