During 5 years of my life I lived in Dakar, Senegal. From the windows and terraces of my house, every day, I could see the silhouette of Gorée island. I finally photographed it.

The MNAU was holding the siding at Judson for 254. We would have just enough time to grab some bug spray at Walgreens before trecking into the woods to shoot RCPE on the same bridge, going the other way. This is probably TSOD.
At Florence, an ethanol train off the RCPE was shuffling power around. Seemingly, BNSF didn't know what to do with the power the train came in with, and the lite power move they delivered to FRA Jct. We sat for 30 minutes and were just about to give up, when we heard the BNSF crew line switches to the main and give RCPE permission to sneak by. This delay resulted in some killer light from the Junction.
Despite the many obstacles we encountered along the highway (car accident, farm machinery, etc) we were able to just barely keep ahead of the westbound MNAU.

Because of slow road traffic (how dare people drive exactly the speed limit) we weren't sure if this shot at Sanborn would be possible. Clearly it was, and it was awesome seeing them accelerate out of town.
Nearing Tracy, we heard the track warrant only extended to FRA Junction at Florence. There was an eastbound ethanol train off of the RCPE waiting for a BNSF crew and a slot onto the Marshall Sub. This cast doubt into getting the Florence shot, one we both really wanted...
