C'est peut-être cela qui me donne l'énergie de continuer sur la voie qui est la mienne. B&P 3331 is the Southbound leader on GW-1 as it makes a drop at the yard in Griegsville, NY (Retsof) on November 4, 2022. I walked in about 4 engine lengths from the Route 36 crossing to get a few yellow leaves on a maple tree. The salt train schedule never flipped in 2022 so that the run to the mine was in daylight. Instead, it has remained on the overnight schedule all year. A track work project on the RSR main to the Springs caused the GW-1 to run in daylight this week. I figured it was worth catching since it may not run in daylight again. Time will tell.
More of the Gadwalls feeling the joy of Spring. I was thinking it would be cool if you could see the head of the male on the right better, but then you likely wouldn't see his beautiful markings. The boys remind me of a tweed suit when they're just cruising, and suddenly there's this defined display of the deep browns and blacks with the pure white patches. The female, btw, seems to look on with maybe disdain or laughter.
