I made this early afternoon portrait pre-first real acupuncture treatment session.
Most days, I pick up the camera and wander until a scene or story pulls me in. Today it was the lines of light in my bedroom reflecting on the glass, mirror and me. When shooting, I didn’t make the connection with the upcoming appointment. But the connection was presented- it was the meridian lines of energy traveling through my body. I love foreshadowing with camera and eye.
About an hour later, I fell into a deep 20 minute meditation whilst at least 12 needles where gently inserted under my skin in strategic locations. I felt electric. More please.

Rollei Vintage 332 RC (?) found in a black plastic bag (who knows how long it has been in there?) and lith printed.
Very unfamiliar process results and outcome for this, so I may be questioning if that's the paper noted on the bag or not (or has it just gotten old?).
A very quick establishment of the print contours already after <30 sec, and then almost nothing happend... On some of the prints there's this wavy cloudlike pattern all over, not bad IMO (but it was not there on the negative).

Fomapan 100 dev in Rodinal 1+100, semistand 1 h.
Lith printed on Rollei vintage 332 RC and developed in Moersch Easy Lith (25A+25B+H2Oqs750ml). Feb 1, 2025.
Toned in Se 1+9, 45 sec.
Conclusion: The Rollei Vintage 332 RC has been aging during the years so it's not a very good lith paper anymore.
This was the first print in fresh soup. Took about 40 min (!) to be "ready" and still not defined...
Se toning was good and shifted the color tone to "blue metallic".
Yikes, not sure if I have the stamina for this, but the blue-stealish image tone after Se-toning was a reward.

Had to snap this really quickly before the sun went down on the side of the road on my way back to Tallahassee, I told Nikka to lay down and look peaceful and happy but she was super awkward, so I decided to put an awkward one since that is what really happened haha.
So in the car ride a lightbulb went off in my head - remember how I was whining the other day about not being able to travel and whatnot, well I just realized that I'm 18 and I can buy plane tickets and rent rooms, so I'm going to use the photography money I make this year to go to either California or Hawaii for a couple weeks this summer. I'm just going to do it! I would have a place to stay in CA so that might be easier, but Hawaii would be amazing too. Or maybe I'll go to Yellowstone? Who knows! But wherever I decide, I want you photographers who know the area to tell me all the cool spots to shoot!

Roselyn and David were performing at the end of a street at a Farmer's Market. Roselyn's electric smile and outgoing personality stole the show. David was the 'straight man', being quiet and supportive. He played a trumpet, while she played the guitar and sang. And SANG!
They are from New Orleans, and their music was predominantly southern jazz. Their website is here: www.davidandroselyn.net/bio.php
Roselyn was more than happy to be photographed and talk (between numbers) about their tour. But the real chatting began when I asked, “Were you in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina?” She put down the guitar and talked for five minutes. The gist of it was that she and David left JUST before the storm hit. And their home was destroyed. Who knows what would have happened had they stayed.
Her daughter saved the. She (the daughter) called Roselyn and said that she had to leave. Roselyn had not been paying attention to the news, and just said that New Orleans is used to hurricanes. No big deal. Her daughter said, “This storm is huge. It IS a big deal. You have to leave now!” Roselyn again played it down. The daughter finally said, “If you don't leave now I'll kick your coffin when it's over.” So Roselyn and David left, and the rest is history.

More glass items inherited from my mother. These are my favourite glasses, they are a beautifully weighted cut glass that have the most wonderful ring to them when pinged (carefully of course). There are only three of them and we use them daily even though I'll probably have a melt down if they ever get broken!

This was a pretty neat consist on NS train 332. An ex UP SD90Mac, a standard cab SD70, a high nose GP38-2 and the first Admiral Cab rebuilt GP38-2. Here they pass Toledo Union Terminal.
