I was walking home from the closest grocery store (Lidl, cheap german stuff). It was raining and I noticed how nicely the streetlights was reflecting in the water.
So, I got my tripod and went back. This is a 5 second exposure. I made it B&W because I find it really hard to get the white balance right. Either it's too red/yellow or it looks.. weird.
The former Ambergate Little Chef branch was located on the junction of the A6 and A610 roads just north of the village of Ambergate.
Opened in 1986/1987 this was a new build site which was built to Forte's house style of the period, built in red brick with a low pirched roof.
In 2001 the Little Chef on this site ceased trading. Despite being located on the main road from Derby - Stockport it was deemed an unprofitable site by its then owners, Compass, who closed several restaurants at the time.
Following closure this site has played host to several independent restaurants most recently a Chinese restaurant The Oriental Palace.
The site is currently undergoing a refurbishment into an Indian restaurant Anila.
