I know the holidays are going to be very different for a lot of people this year, but if we're being honest: I'm welcoming a built-in-reason to not be able to travel anywhere.
Avoiding all of the drama and emotional depletion that comes along with a whirlwind trip to NJ is the greatest gift, and I'm incredibly thankful this year to be healthy and safely holed up in my happy place (even though it's a weird feeling, knowing that a lot of people are struggling with that exact thing...).
This is my favorite photo from Thanksgiving, because that is Benny helping his mom clean a pot of mashed potatoes.
