I'm going to faint. Is it the fumes from the cleaning products? Or is it my sugar? better check... up the stairs. 32 (insert expletive) will I make it 15 steps to the fridge for juice? Got it. Stupid straw. Can I make it to the couch to sit down? Juice down. Butt on couch...eyelids sweating, back soaked. everything'll need laundered. Sweating, shaking... Freaking out. Frosting...Spoonfuls of frosting... Not working... chocolate chips... aware this is a BAD idea, a Tsunami in the making... hubby checks on me, removes the choc. chips... Asks if I want juice. I decline and hope he doesn't see the frosting can now open... he asks about crackers or PB toast. I decline... Still sweating, everything still blurry... he makes popcorn and sits down next to me... I eat a few handfuls. Realize I've been "watching" a rerun of a show I don't like... "You back" he asks. Not yet, but I'm getting here.... an hour passes... so many calories and carbs consumed. SWAG a bolus to cover the excess... turn my high alarm off for 4 hours. Woke up at 158... After that disaster, I'll happily welcome 158

This evening I dined by candlelight, turning out the lights and helping out in giving 5 minutes respite for the planet.

This action was started by some French environmental groups, including my colleagues at Friends of the Earth France, on the eve of the release of the big climate change report that's hopefully been all over your tv screens.

The action was originally aimed at French citizens to show their government they want action on climate change, but it seems they're not the only ones .

Apparently, they were even going to switch off the 10,000 light bulbs on the Eiffel Tower.

And it's spread to Brazil, Lithuania, Belgium and the Netherlands to name a few countries.

Sometimes my job makes me proud.
