09.02.2024 - Opóźniony o ponad 30 minut pociąg IC 263 "Baltic Express" relacji Gdynia Główna - Praha hl.n., opuszcza Kłodzko, jadąc w kierunku granicy polsko-czeskiej. Opóźnienie spowodowała bliżej nieokreślona awaria taboru, która wynikła w okolicy Kamieńca Ząbkowickiego.

Die Urus leben auf derzeit 49 „schwimmenden Inseln“, die sie aus getrockneten Totora-Schilf herstellen. Dieselbe Pflanze ist unter anderem auch Rohstoff für Schilfboote und die Häuser auf den Inseln. It was -17 degrees (Celsius) with windchill during this shoot. And VERY windy... My tripod decided to become a kite at one point, but thankfully I got it back.

It's quite a journey from Mandalore to Albuquerque but he thought it would be a a good place for a short break.
This is probably one of the pictures that I am most proud of from the trip. It took me forever to decide between color or black and white but I like the black and white. I'm not 100% sure why.
To get this shot, I had to prefocus manually, then hang my camera out of the car window upside down on a monopod. The 300mm lens made avoiding lens shake quite difficult. However, I managed to snap a few good ones off with a trigger that I had attached to the camera.
I feel that the eye level perspective gives a better understanding of this amazing creature. I hope you enjoy seeing this as much as I do.
Something that has always kinda been on the bucket list of things to do on the WE, although not great, I can say I've got my feet wet. Empties for Nelms II mine is not far off home rails and now on OHCR tracks about halfway from diving off the main for loading.
