This looked in nice shape. I note it failed its mot on a missing steering rack gaiter a couple of days ago. Hopefully it'll be back on the road soon.
It’s a bit of a survivor these days, considering how common these were in the late 1970s-on. It succeeded the legendary 2002.

As part of Esch2022, the European Capital of Culture 2022, and the “Main Sponsorship” of BMW Belux, no less than 9 legendary BMW Art Cars were exhibited from 07 May to 14 June 2022, on the steel site AES, located between Esch-sur-Alzette and Schifflange.
AES "Metzeschmelz" is a former steel plant, closed since the end of 2012.

The backbone of BMW M’s provenance has always been touring car racing, going back to the ETCC-winning 3.0 CSL and indeed, the incredible DTM and TCC monster that was the E30 BMW M3. Carrying on that legacy of dominance in the truest fashion was the E90 320i, with which Andy Priaulx won the World Touring Car Championship in both 2006 and 2007.
