Someone referred to me as a "space case" today.

I fully agree.

50 more days left? What???

Number 316 of my 365 photo challenge - A split-toned, macro image of some rough looking fungus growing at the base of an old tree stump.

This was snapped just before the weather started to move in properly. It's grim out there now. Storms are no place for a camera unless in a rain coat and pointed at massive waves breaking against the rocks! ;-)

Primer viaje a Bilbao de la 333-316 como rosco alquilada por LCR. Pena que en toda la composición sólo llevará un contenedor pero una gran variedad de tipos de plataformas.

This morn I made some vegan waffles, it turned out pretty well as it was my first time hehe.

RS 27 working the Hiawatha job. Thanks to Dan for the heads up.

Before it was retired and donated to the Missabe Railroad Historical Society in 2008, SD-M 316 eases a train of limestone empties across Second Street in Proctor.

NIAG 2019 316.....

Headed home as the Hiawatha job approaches the Mississippi River bridge where the gate across the tracks was opened by remote control.

It's a cloudy day but all of these photos would be backlit if the sun were out, so there is some advantage to being out on a gloomy day. Thanks again to Dan for the info.

Leaving Hiawatha for the trip home. I just manged to catch the South Minneapolis grain elevator job as they left. I guess I'm going to have to get up earlier.

Thanks to Dan for the notice that this rare engine was working today. Also it's noteworthy that the engineer handled the engine so there was very little smoke. It's not as scenic but probably better to run it that way.

Ladies and gentlemen,

WE are here to address a truly colorful incident affecting our museum, art and freedom of expression.

Yesterday, the satirical painting featuring world leaders became the target of a paint attack - ironically, adding an unplanned layer of abstract commentary to the piece. While we appreciate artistic reinterpretation, we strongly prefer it to be confined to the canvas and not the courtroom.

To ensure future masterpieces remain untarnished, we will implement enhanced security measures, including personal checks and increased surveillance, because nothing says “welcome to the arts” like a metal detector. Rest assured, the painting will be restored and re-exhibited as a resilient reminder that satire may get splattered, but its message remains bulletproof.

Thank you for your attention!
