Tonight Eid was celebrated across the Muslim world. I had the privilege of attending a big dinner with students from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, Oman and more. Many students wore their traditional garb, several performed songs and skits and we watched videos of the Hajj to Mecca. I may have been the only American girl in the room. I feel very lucky to have friends that continue to keep me culturally aware and do so in an open-minded and open-hearted way that laves me unintimidated. And, the food was awesome!
