13/31 October Photo a Day and rather a cool street art quarter in Croydon, which incidentally is affectionately dubbed the Cronx these days. Plenty of spectacular stuff, beautifully created too.
The final Orangeville-Brampton Railway shortline train weaves its way through Southern Ontario farmland and past the Milepost 31 signs as it approaches the small town of Alton. This train left Orangeville for the final time about 15 minutes earlier and dozens of railfans lined every crossing along the route, hoping to get their last shots of the 142 year old rail line.
February is National Heart Month. Time for us ALL to remember to take care of ourselves. Eat healthily, and exercise. Because you're worth it. And your loved ones deserve it.

Back on the 9th of this month I posted a photo of the larva, it is now in the pupal phase and has now settled on this leaf on our Plum Tree to metamorphose.

9/31 October Photo a Day - nothing better on a Sunday morning than heading down to get the papers - beautiful sunshine too and due an Autumn type shot for the October Challenge, couldn't resist this scene.
Took a walk along 5 Mile lane in Barry but nothing to see but cars and trees. Got home and set about making this walk worth the trouble and created the simple trees into a range of interesting images that made me feel better.

October 2023: A month in 31 pictures
We still have our grandson with us so getting a photo isn't easy. I held this cyclamen in front of some organza then added some textures. It's rather pink but I like pink and his Lordship approved ;)

The sunlight was fleeting this morning, pretty windy too, not ideal when the subject of your picture is attached to a thread of spiderweb!
To celebrate the return of our spring migrants, I propose this challenge: Post a warbler a day for the month of May. Only use each species once and see how far into the month you can make it before running out of new warblers. Hopefully this will be an opportunity to go through old photos and think back to happier times when we weren't all stuck in isolation.
(and if you're like me then you'll probably need to resort to some fairly terrible record shots in order to keep the streak alive!) Good luck!

We are staying with my sister in France, this boulangerie is in the village where she lives.
Well that's month one of my 365 done!!! I have to say that I'm pleased with myself for keeping it up this long, it has to be the only resolution I've managed to keep all the way to the end of January. Overall not every days shot has been great but in the month of January I've managed to take more shots than ever before and some I really love :)
