218 307 führte am 04.04.2025 den IC 2215 (Westerland - Köln Hbf) an und wurde im ehemaligen Bahnhof Stedesand fotografiert. Das schon etwas marode Bahnhofsgebäude ist noch immer mit einem Fahrdienstleiter besetzt, der die dazugehörigen Formsignale bedient. Seit Fahrplanwechsel ist IC 2215 zumindest in der gezeigten Form auch Geschichte.
On April 4, 2025, locomotive 218 307 hauled IC 2215 (Westerland - Cologne) and was photographed at the former Stedesand station. The somewhat dilapidated station building still houses a train dispatcher who operates the semaphore signals. Since the timetable change, IC 2215, at least in the form shown, is now history.
One day the word "soon" will be replaced by "finally"

Foto’s van GTW’s maak ik niet zo vaak. Tenzij er wat sneeuw ligt zoals vandaag. Arriva-Noord GTW 307 zit al een tijdje in de dienst op de Maaslijn ter vervanging van de LINT-treinstellen. Deze kleurstelling staat de stellen uitstekend en bevalt me vele malen beter dan die van Arriva Limburg en -Achterhoek, waarbij de ‘witte’ vlakken een steeds vervuilde indruk maken. Hoeveel beter is deze kleurstelling dan.
Op deze foto passeert het stel als trein 32345 naar Venray. Het stel draagt de naam ‘Frits Zernike’. Aldus wiki een Nederlands natuurkundige die in 1953 de Nobelprijs ontving voor de uitvinding van de fasecontrastmicroscoop (driemaal woordwaarde). Weten we dat ook weer. Jonguh!
