I did not know much about Borage until few days ago, when I stumbled upon it in the community gardens. Close look show fantastic opportunities for photographing this plant :-)

The borage herb is an old-fashioned plant that can get up to 2 feet (61 cm.) tall, or more. It is native to the Middle East and has an ancient history in war as an enhancement for bravery and courage. Growing borage provides the gardener with cucumber-flavored leaves for tea and other beverages as well as bright, starry blue flowers for decorating salads. All parts of the plant, except the roots, are flavorful and have culinary or medicinal uses.

Al principio de Les Rotes, zona residencial vacacional de muy alto nivel, ya con chalets, palacetes y un hotel selecto en los años treinta del siglo XX.

Está situada en Denia, sobre las faldas escarpadas del Montgó a muy pocos metros del mar y las calas rocosas camino del Cabo San Antonio y Jávea.

Sonderzüge auf der Nebenbahn von Bullay nach Traben-Trarbach sind selten, insbesondere bei Tageslicht, weil die RB 85 fast ganztägig die Strecke belegt. Dabei gibt es am Morgen extra noch eine Lücke für Sonderleistungen, weil die Moselweinbahn planmäßig den Takt "wechselt". Leider fahren trotzdem die meisten Highlights auf dieser Strecke im Dunkeln, so waren dieses Jahr schon die 213 der Eifelbahn, die gelbe 218 und auch der alte GMTZ 725/726 002 im Moselstädtchen.

Auch heute Morgen stand mal wieder was besonderes auf dem Plan, sollte doch der Schienenprüfzug die morgendliche Fahrplanlücke nutzen und einen Abstecher auf die kleine Nebenbahn machen. Natürlich fiel die Hinfahrt der (einzigen) Fotowolke am Himmel zum Opfer^^. Auf der Rückfahrt passte jedoch alles, als 719/720 302 zwischen Kövenig und Reil mit gemütlichen 60 km/h durch die Weinberge fuhren...

Bosnien hat keinen direkten Bahnanschluss an einen Hafen, sondern für den Seezugang ein Stück durch Kroatien fahren, genauer gesagt zur Hafenstadt Ploče. Für den Inselbetrieb zwischen Ploče und des bosnischen Grenzbahnhofs Čapljina ist eine 1141 von HŽPP dort stationiert. Grund für die Personenzuglok dort ist das an bestimmten Tagen verkehrende Talgo-Zugpaar, ansonsten wird die Lok vom privaten Unternehmen Enna genutzt und bespannt dort sämtliche Güterzüge. Deren Anzahl ist aber sehr übersichtlich, am 22.04.2026 fuhr man vormittags ein Zugpaar und erst am Abend nochmals Lz nach Čapljina, um einen Ganzzug mit gedeckten Güterwagen abzuholen. Bei Krvavac fanden wir ein passendes Motiv und bauten unsere Hochstative auf. Die Wolken machten es äußerst spannend, doch zum Glück passte alles, als 1141 302 um die Ecke bog.

Bosnia has no direct rail connection to a seaport; instead, access to the sea requires a stretch of travel through Croatia, specifically, to the port city of Ploče. An HŽPP Class 1141 locomotive is stationed there to handle operations between Ploče and the Bosnian border station of Čapljina. The reason for having a passenger-service locomotive there is the Talgo train pair that runs on specific days; otherwise, the locomotive is used by the private company Enna to haul all freight trains on the route. However, the volume of traffic is quite limited: on April 22, 2026, a train pair ran in the morning, followed only by a light engine run to Čapljina in the evening to pick up a block train of covered freight wagons. We found a good position near Krvavac and set up our high tripods. The cloud cover made for a nail-biting situation, but fortunately, everything came together perfectly just as 1141 302 rounded the bend.

Το 2015, Άγγλοι φίλοι του σιδηροδρόμου διοργάνωσαν εκδρομή στο τμήμα Αθήνα-Αεροδρόμιο-Αθήνα στην γραμμή του προαστιακού. Η σύνθεση της εκδρομικής αμαξοστοιχίας 7104/7105 αποτελούταν απο τις μουσειακές δηζελάμαξες ALCO Α.302 και Α.326 καθως και απο τρείς επιβατάμαξες των BDZ. Οι συγκεκριμενες μηχανές σπάνιας ομορφιάς, γνήσιες ''Αμερικάνες'' βρίσκονται εκτός τακτικής κυκλοφορίας απο το 1998, ενώ πλέον χρησιμοποιούνται μόνο σε εκδρομικά δρομολόγια.

On 2015, English Railway Friends organized an excursion to the Athens-Airport-Athens section of the suburban line. The composition of the train 7104/7105 consisted of the ALCO A.302 and A.326 museum diesel engines as well as three BDZ wagons. These "Americans" have been out of order since 1998, and are now only used on tours.

Op woensdag 17 Januari 2024 was de RFO 2019 302 voor het EERST !! in Nederland met een trein bestaande uit een

prachtige ketel trein (tr 42796 beladen met zonnebloem olie ) van Bad Bentheim naar Almelo , waar op Donderdag 18 Januari 2024 de rit naar Kijfhoek verder zou gaan , en zo kon ik in Mooie winterse omstandigheden deze mooie combinatie op station Amersfoort vastleggen waar de trein naar een korte stop weer verder zou rijden naar Kijfhoek en de trein was bestemd voor Rotterdam/ Pernis(ketel wagons waren EP Cargo ERR Zacns )
