Fawn and I both painted our hands. Don't have time now, but there will be many more of these to come of Fawn and her red hands.
We gaan weer verder met de vakantiefoto's.
Na het goede begin bij Bopparder Hamm werd vol goede moed de Rijn overgestoken om hopelijk nog veel cargo's te spotten op de rechter Rijnoever. Na het zien van de fraaie cargo optocht hier van de familie De Vries werd voor het eerst een keer een wijngaard stek gezocht. Bij mijn vorige bezoek aan de Rijn, al weer enkele jaren geleden, had ik de fraaie stek bij Braubach, met het kasteel De Marksburg in beeld, niet kunnen vinden, maar na enig zoekwerk werd de stek dit keer wel gevonden en de auto geparkeerd. Na een kwartier lopen (nu weet ik gelijk waarom ik toen bij 32 graden deze stek niet bezocht heb) kon direct na aankomst in fraai licht de op zondag maar een keer per uur rijdende VIAS stoptrein worden vastgelegd als proefshot, er zouden immers nog vele cargo's volgen..... In heerlijk weer zien we hier de 302 en een onbekende soortgenoot als stoptrein van Koblenz naar Frankfurt Hbf bij Braubach passeren op 6 augustus 2017.

Supposing that his father, Estêvão, was already alcaide of the village in 1468/1469, the second floor of the donjon may be, as suggested by historian Arnaldo Soledade, the place in Sines where the navigator was born (tradition points to a house at the present Rua Vasco da Gama). There is no doubt that he spent his childhood here and that the monument is full of memories and traces of the Gamas. However, not even that was needed to make it the most important monument of Sines. Built in the first half of the 15th century, in the most noble and strategic point of the city, hanging over the bay, the Castle - a defensive fortress - was the condition imposed by King D. Pedro I to grant the charter to Sines, in 1362. Today, it no longer defends the city from the pirates, but remains the most amazing belvedere to the bay.
For its connection to the navigator’s life, the main tower of the Castle hosts, since 2008, the new museum / multimedia facility House of Vasco da Gama.

Arp 302, also known as VV 340 or UGC 9618 consists of a pair of very gas-rich spiral galaxies in their early stages of interaction. Arp 302 is 450 million light-years away from Earth, and is the 302nd galaxy in Arp's Atlas of Peculiar Galaxies.
