Mal wieder am ehemals "heiligen Berg". Allerdings wegen einem Sonderzug. Der Planverkehr ist doch sehr dürftig. Ob ein Erhalt der Bergstrecke für sowenig Verkehr sinnvoll ist müssen andere Stellen entscheiden.

This week we are going back nine years to 2016 (the year this series started) and to EV 49 at the station in Skerries with a service on route 33 to Balbriggan.
CIE started operating route 33 between the city centre and Skerries in 1958, when they took over the route from the Great Northern Railway (Ireland). The 33 went via Swords, Lusk and Rush. Certain departures on the route operated to Balbriggan, and the route basically operates the same today.
Some buses were, and still are, parked overnight at the railway station in Skerries. This is evidenced here by the shed in the background and SG 106 parked beside it. Driver changes can also happen here, which is why EV 49 is at the station. Most services on the 33 do not serve the station directly like this.
EV 49 was new to Dublin Bus in 2007. In 2017 it joined the DoDublin Tour, operated by Dublin Bus, and became an open-top bus.
SG 106 was new to Dublin Bus in 2015, and is still in service today.

Taken on September 16th 1961
Ex-LSWR M7 0-4-4T 30049 at Vauxhall station with ECS to Clapham Yard, on a sunny day in September 1961.
The loco had entered service in 1905, and was withdrawn in June 1962, and scrapped soon afterwards.. Two of the class have been preserved, one of which had to be repatriated from the USA…
Today (2025) passenger services here are operated by South Western Railway.

07-D-30049 is a Volvo B9TL/Alexander Dennis Enviro400 new as Dublin Bus EV49 in October 2007.
It is now operating for Dublin Bus's open top city tour and seen here on O'Connell Street showing off its DoDublin livery.

These are all near the Jellyfish nebula in Gemini.

The Grade II* Listed The North Canonry on West Walk, Salisbury, Wiltshire.
A flint and Chilmark stone house of 13th Century origin. Largely rebuilt in 16th and 17th Centuries. Restored by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott in the 19th Century. Not set back as other houses. A picturesque unsymmetrical front with a rectangular 2-storey projecting central gabled bay with small octagonal angle buttresses topped with ogee shaped finials, this bay has a 14-light mullioned and transomed leaded casement on each floor and a small single attic louvre over, the whole bay of ashlar. The RH portion of building has a triple gabled upper part overhanging first floor windows with a plastered cove. Old tile roof.
Three C16 4-light mullioned and transomed windows with drip moulds and corner sheilds with initials right hand for Richard Hill resident from 1672-95 and modern lead lights, on 1st floor. Central oriel window under five arched lights, probably 19th Century. Small 2-light basement window under oriel and a 3-light 4-centred arched casement to right hand. Corner buttress. A tall arched coach entry passes through building to right hand of projecting bay, with a small doorway between the archway and bay.

One of a large number of Leyland Olympians to enter PMT's fleet as a result of 1990's purchase of Crosville's Chester, Ellesmere Port and Wirral operations, 775 (MTU 123Y) is seen departing from Chester on long-since abandoned service 22 to Meols. This was one of a handful which were fitted with Voith transmissions from new by Crosville instead of the more normal proprietary (and troublesome) Hydracyclic units, and whilst only three-speeders they were good for about 60mph - on the flat...
Starting from the left, Bharuch - Vadtal Passenger waiting for the signal in the loop line, Shalimar - Bhuj SF Express accelerates superbly and overtakes the passenger through UP mainline and BRC WAP - 5 # 30049 accelerates after getting home clearance with 12932 Ahmedabad (ADI) - Mumbai Central (BCT) AC Double Decker Express.

Vadodara (BRC) WAP-5 # 30049 with 12228 Indore - Mumbai Central AC Duronto Express overtaking 12479 Suryanagari Express hauled by Vadodara (BRC) WAP-4E # 22604 "Arjun". This Jaipur and Indore Duronto suffer lot of time behind Kutch and Suryanagari from Vadodara. I was shocked and happy to see this rare overtake as Suryanagari was running late by 30 minutes.
