I had a hard time finding something I bought for myself. Usually our money was spent on the trip itself and our
souvenirs were our photos and memories. And then I spotted these, purchased at an antique store on a trip to the coast. I'm sure they were made for something else, but I don't know what. I bought them to use for vinegar and oil for the table, but never used them. Too bad I didn't know about sketching back then.

Yesterday's three sketches must have taken something out of me...I just threw this together and had that ugly attitude of "I don't care." But am letting you see me on my worst day...ha! I really enjoy sports on TV, but don't go to any games anymore...Just support my local high school teams by cheering them on after I read the reports in the newspaper, and always root for the Razorbacks...love those Hogs....hummmroot those hogs, is that a pun?

I think I am a bit ahead, but I might be behind....whatever. One of the assignments was to draw anything that you'd like, and this fits that one too. This chair has been in the family since my parents married. It was in Mother's bedroom as I grew up, and was given to her by her mother in law,my grandmother . Originally it had a large woven roll around the top of the back, but it was torn and Mother took it off. I love it and hope it continues to be passed on in the family.

It's not a whole chair. In fact it is just a chair leg, but I felt that in order to do justice to the beautifully turned 'barley twist' that the leg deserved it's own closeup :)

While my wife filled her mother's pill container for the week, I drew the chair she sits in to watch tv.
EDM #30...Draw a Chair...these are two of my favorites...the Stickley rocker was amongst the furnishings in a cabin purchased many years ago and now resides in the Great Room. It is the perfect fit for a reading chair. The chair on the right is a classic Eames chair. The wood is a beautiful teak and the fit is perfect. I love the lines of this chair. The walls in my house are this color!
