A diorama depicting the three (3) elements of nature: earth, water and fire. Each of these elements destroys civilization in its own way...
A test in chainmail rockwork and modern castle building techniques. Must say that I like both of the techniques thoroughly. I have also put a lot of effort into the continouty and make-sensitude of the diorama: from the river's meanders to vegetation, biome distribution and ruins effects.
Commissioned work for Simon "Specifik" Frankland's new Limited Edition album sampler from the forthcoming release on B-Line Recordings "The Triple3 Effect". Referencing coincidences in his life where he seems to enter an alternate reality after constantly waking at 3:33 and seeing those numbers in transactions in his daily life!
The album is released in June and features legendary artists Craig G from The Juice Crew, El Da Sensai from The Artifacts and more.

Floor sign outside an elevator in Galbraith Hall at UC San Diego. I'd been wanting to shoot this as I like how the digit 3 looks in the Gotham typeface, the signage font used in the core area of the building.

January 28, 2007 I joined Flickr. I never imagined what a life changer it would be......
The joy of meeting [ thru cyberspace] so many wonderful people/ photographers worldwide has been overwhelming.
Flickr has motivated me immeasurably to take my photography more seriously. How awesome to view everyone else's images and to learn so much.
Thank you everyone for your kind comments and visits every day. Although this site has been an addiction that can get in the way of real life....to me it's a fairly healthy addiction.
Waterloo RR SW900 3 at Waterloo, Iowa on an unknown day in August 1965, Kodachrome by unknown photographer, Chuck Zeiler collection. Number 3 was built in June 1957 ( c/n 23477 ). The Waterloo Railroad ( WLO ) was eventually acquired by the ICG.
Messier 3 is a globular cluster made up of around half a million stars found in the constellation Canes Venatici. This type of cluster acts like a satellite to its parent galaxy, orbiting above the galactic plane rather than being located in the galaxy's disk like the less dense open clusters. Clusters like this are common, M3 is one of about 150 globular clusters that belong to the Milky Way galaxy, not many compared to the amount that belong to some galaxies, there are over 13,000 globular clusters orbiting the supergiant elliptical galaxy M87 for example. Messier 3 is thought to be around 8 billion years old, but like all globs, how they form exactly is still unknown.
