HI friends!
Hope you have been able to survive the heat comfortably. The heat had been unbearable for several days on end and then just like that we had a few days of incredible coolness. Not just cooler but coolness! The temperature dropped down to the 60s and the skies remained overcast and cloudy. I don't even have to tell you what that did for this cloudy-rain-autumn loving woman! ;) Unfortunately it put a restlessness in my spirit and made me more impatient than ever for Fall to began. I got int some serious hot water when I mentioned my feelings on FB. Apparently in the Facebook world , I am outnumbered by passionate Summer lovers haha! I thought surely, surely in the photography community there might be a better appreciation for my find? Hiking in 90 degree weather last weekend in the Springs, we found ourselves in some dense forest like area. And there popping out like some magical burst of fairy dust I spotted this little dusting of yellow amongst the green foliage and shadows. It's my first picture of leaves in quite some time. Probably since last fall! I don't know when I stopped taking pictures of things like this, small parts of nature but it brought me great joy! I have dance in my steps these days and yes, I am seriously counting the days til September. It's not just about the cooler weather. I am unashamedly one of those crazy pumpkin loving people, the kind that out pumpkin spice into everything and make silly excuses to make all sorts of pumpkin recipes in celebration of Autumn and everything Harvest related. Surely, surely I"m not the only one? I only hope that even if not you will still be kind to me haha/
Sending love to you Summer and Fall lovers alike! xx have a fantastic weekend full of joy and fulfillment <3

Another tardy shot from the Welcome to the West 3rd birthday event at the Arrata Opera Centre. 'Twas a great night of music, cheer and good beer.
I created this photo-montage to express my view on this wonderful game. It doesn't matter how young or old you are, it doesn't matter if you're playing for fun or you're playing in the Master's, this game can be enjoyed by anyone and everyone.

Today is Remembrance Day, so first off I'd like to thank all those who are, have and shall in future risk their lives in defence of our freedom across the world.
I'd also like to thanks those people who believe in me.
Karen, I love you so much, you drive me nuts at times, you make me laugh and smile more though. You tell me when I'm an idiot, and put up with my moods and my stupidity. You never gave up on me once even when I'd almost given up on myself. <3
Rachel and Megan, you are such beautiful young girls, watching you grow up is a true joy. Love you both!
Dad, you're always there to offer support and advice when I need it. Distance doesn't matter, it just makes the time we do get together than much more special. Thankyou for everything.
Mum, I will always always love you. I wish we could spend more time together.
Martin, you're such a tower of strength. I'm blessed to have you in my life you big woman!
Ceara, as friends go, I haven't been the best recently. I have my reasons and maybe in time I will find the strength to tell them to you. You on the other hand, have been far more of a friend to me than I could ever ask for. I consider myself lucky to know such a fine young woman, such a wonderful person.
Frederique, in the short time we've known each other, you have always managed to lift my spirits. Both with your support of my work and other things (you know what). Thank you so much for being such a good soul. I only hope that I can do you proud.
Juliette, what a gift to us all you are. Your words and images are a true treasure in what can be a dark world at times.
Jax, you're such an awesome person to know. You totally rock and more than that you understand me. Take it easy and never forget we're never alone.
There are many others in my life who have given me so much and before I turn to mush typing this, I'd like to take a chance to thank you all for being in my life and wanting me in yours.
James

Rachel and I dressed up again as Katy Perry and Russell Brand, respectively. This time it was actually Halloween night.
We got dressed early so we could spend about 30 minutes taking photos of each other. It was fun!

1)3) and 4) are from a set of seven portraits by Michael Dahl known as the ‘Petworth Beauties’ painted for Charles Seymour, 6th Duke of Somerset (1662-1748) in the late 1690s.
Created by 3rd Earl of Egremont as a shrine to his hero the Duke of Wellington.
Called the Beauty Room since early C18th when the 6th Duke of Somerset (master of the Horse to Queen Anne 1702-12) made it a tribute to his Queen and the ladies of her court. Because Queen Anne was in a permanent state of mourning having lost all of her children she wore no Jewellery, none of the other ladies of the court did so either.

I sent my miscellaneous fibers (leftovers from previous spinnings) to Rachel-Marie of knittydirtygirl.etsy.com
she added some umpf and some *sparkle* and lookie what i got in the mail today!!!!
can't wait to spin it up!
The other day, I decided to put a post it note in the girls bathroom in my hall in honor of Rachel Davino. I hope that whoever read it felt good about themselves and will spread the positivity to others!
One of the first to be mounted on double sided sticky tape then trimming the excess off. Always start with a half naked picture of your self.
Rachel is loving her gift from Gigi (and Papa...hehehehe) from Dolluxe fabulousness called "Paisley Passion" in her First Date series and we love and adore this creation! Thank you Rhiannon <3
Rachel's hair is now down and she is requesting another photo shoot, so more to come soon. After her 10th spa treatment, her hair looks awesome! I personally think she just water! Hehehehe <3
