Feeling beat from work but due to the short hiatus, I'll bring it up, but I'll be brief. Due to military doctrine at the time, 5.56 NATO cartridge was designed to maim - not kill. The idea was to take the guy out of the fight without ending his life. So to say the AR15 is an "assault weapon of mass killing only suitable for military use" is... pathetic. The AR15 wasn't even designed to kill, though, it is a precision rifle that will end a threat - or drop that big game, ethically and accurately.
