5-shot cylinder of a Ruger .38 Special hammerless revolver designed for concealed carry. Five circles in a circular pattern, within a circle, within a square.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" MM theme. Looking down the barrel of a snubnose .38 special revolver. All about the situation and intent I suppose. Weapon held in a vice before a black felt background. Less than 2 1/2 inches. Provocative by intent.

Probably the most controversial team on the USA squad, with metal in hand still not enough wants to sponsor them.

After spending most of the week in D.C on business (I returned home Thursday night) and experiencing the snow storm on Wednesday, I decided to drive back on Saturday to participate in the March For Our Lives rally.

First off, notice all the snow is gone.

Second, I have never seen so many people in one place (I saw a shot from space and the estimate was at 800,000 people) and so many porta-johns (but I digress). The passion in these students restored my belief that maybe, just maybe we can return our Gov't back to the people and out of the hands of the special interest groups (read that as NRA). Time will tell...

Some of these pics and a few others will get posted so you can read the small print. anyone care to guess what I've been working on today.

I really don't like the underfolders. They are handy in vehicles, or if you're toting it around all day long, but to me the full stock models and the side folders are much easier to shoot.

Who am I kidding. I love this rifle.

This week's theme in the 7 days of shooting group is Onomatopoeia. Onomatopoeia is all about words that sound like their meaning - e.g. splash, bang, rustle.

The right to keep and bear arms in the United States is a fundamental right protected by the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution, part of the Bill of Rights, and by the constitutions of most U.S. states. The Second Amendment declares:

'A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.'

Recent mass shooting tragedies have renewed the national debate over the 2nd Amendment. Gun ownership and homicide rates are higher in the U.S. than in any other developed nation. Over 200 years have passed since James Madison introduced the Bill of Rights, the country has changed, and so have its guns. Is the right to bear arms now at odds with the common good, or is it as necessary today as it was in 1789?

This is a Vietnam bringback pistol, manufactured in 1963 @ Factory 66 in Beijing... probably on old Soviet machinery. I got an irresponsibly good deal on this pistol, because whomever brought it back had it chrome/nickel plated when they got home from the war. It going in to be stripped and restored... if I ever get around to sending it in.

History has proven that in any nation where government control becomes the number one priority in a nation, removal of guns from private citizens is paramount to successful and total control.

Never, under any circumstances, let U.S. Government officials change the Second Amendment through domestic modifications to favor political causes.

Likewise, citizens must be aware of any treaties and negotiations with other nations or any body of nations like the United Uations which would restrict Second Amendment rights.

Remember, those who are against gun rights will stoop to the lowest levels to amend the Constitution to remove the Second Amendment.

Tinkering with the Second Amendment in any way, shape or form is the first warning sign that there are those in power who do not want citizens to have the power to enforce and protect this Democracy and Republic. Suspect any and all who want to change the Second Amendment.

From the 1800s through the present day the Derringer has been a small concealable weapon used by Dancehall girls and gamblers. Often replaced in the present day with a small auto .25 or .380. However, the over under .38 special derringer still has its place.
