CHEF Temari 09 wants us to enjoy our gardens!

➤ The main focus of your image must be a macro (closeup) of a single flower.

➤ The flower will be surrounded by a significant frame that includes an outer edge that is highly patterned and/or fractal.

➤ Include at least one other garden element (flowers, leaves, etc.).

➤ Also Illustrations (cartoon-like) of at least two funny animals (max 4).

➤ No People including humanoids (robots, statues, etc.).

Flower macro is my own photo.

I created the frame in DDG Text 2 Dream using this prompt:

A beautiful square frame with bright chartreuse fractals that has alternating stripes of black and white (and then I inverted the color in Photoshop).

Pngwing.com: Seahorse (used 2Xs), Seaweed (sea grapes).

Processing done in Photoshop Beta 2023 and Topaz Studio for a graphic texture.

Thanks for your visit, faves, and kind comments.

Another snowflake from our late January snowfall. Already in a deteriorating state when landed, it was still intriguing and larger than usual. Also like how a small flower like snowflake added itself to the larger flake.

This evening an Albert Clipper blew into town with at least 50mm of snow. Early part while the temperature was still cold produced some interesting snowflakes. This one was large (about 5mm in diameter) and looked perfect to the unaided eye.

Got lucky capturing a number of frames flat on. Processed a single frame, then did a focus stack of the best 4 frames. The focus stack version actually looked a bit sharper, so that is what I uploaded.

It was snowing, so I went out to check the snow to see if it was worth photographing. The flakes were tiny averaging about 1 to 2 mm, with a lot of snow debris.

Would see plate snow flakes, but they were extremely difficult to find in the macro lens. I saw this tiny flake, barely 2mm diameter.

I was fascinated with the 3 dimesional structure of this snow flake. It seem to take on a plastic appearance, and getting the light to be at the right angle was crucial to actually seeing the detail. Using my LED ring light gaffer taped to the front of the lens taken at night.

This one landed relatively intact; I manage to get before it started to melt.

Been working so hard

I'm punching my card

Eight hours, for what?

Oh, tell me what I got

I've got this feeling

That time's just holding me down

I'll hit the ceiling

Or else I'll tear up this town

A very popular service linking Morecambe and Lancaster University (of which there are a few) every 15 minutes, the 100 uses a batch of 19 plate E400MMCs with branding for this and the 2X, a service which offers a half hourly service from Morecambe to Lancaster University via Heysham and Lancaster direct.

11213 is seen on a 100 entering Morecambe on Marine Road East heading to the Bus Station. This one will return to Lancaster University as a 100, the ones that continue as 2Xs show this on the bottom line of the display.

Look at me

I'm as helpless as a kitten up a tree

And I feel like I'm clingin' to the cloud

I can't understand

I get misty just holding your hand

Walk my way

And a thousand violins begin to play

Or it might be the sound of your hello

That music I hear

I get misty the moment you're near

Can't you see that you're leading me on?

And it's just what I want you to do

Don't you notice how hopelessly I'm lost?

That's why I'm following you

On my own

Would I wander through this wonderland alone?

Never knowing my right foot from my left

My hat from my gloves

I'm too misty and too much in love

Too misty and too much in love
