Just before 4AM I was pulling into

The Dog Palace.

Couldn't sleep so I just went to work.

Mama was quite excited to see me so

early. Food was prepared and all the

same same happened while there.

Monkey wound has been upgraded to

98.9% healed.

Plan for today was to get better photos

of 2C the puppy, and I did, But !

When uploading todays CF card it failed.

GGggeerr !!!

This photo of 2C was taken a couple days

ago. Notice the building and the extra dog.

2C likes to hang out at this spot and the

extra female dog keeps an eye on him too.

Large building is surround by a moat which

is swamp water. There's a raised bridge that

allows access to the building. The cat also

lives here with one monk who cares for them.

Now I have four spots at the monkey temple

where supplies and medications are used.

Wait a minute, not 4 but 5 places, there's one

more spot that's an island surrounded by green

swamp.Somewhere a photo has been uploaded

showing a house, small narrow cement bridge,

surrounded by real green swamp.

OK, tomorrow I will be doing a bunch of errands

in town, dog supplies. Once they're all completed

I'll be heading out to meet with Mr SideCar Man.

He's located in The Prasae River area and he will

work his MoJo on the CF card. Also it maybe time

to purchase a new card reader. Computer store has

closed down, lack of business, this may take a while.

All the monkey temple dogs will be just fine till Tuesday

when I'll return loaded with more stuff for them ............ ;-)

Thank You.

In 2006 most Hawkeyes were retrofitted with eight-bladed propellers. They look very modern and cool, but since my model represents an aircraft as it appeared in 2003, it has four-bladed propellers.

Devoted to the decadent life of self-indulgence.

Back Story .........................................

Around 4:AM the scooter was packed and

heading down the road to the monkey temple.

Late afternoon I was heading home after stopping

for a short meeting with my friend Mr SideCar Man.

Once home no# 1 wife told me to lay down before

I fell down, ate a bowl of soup and crashed till 7PM.

Alright enough about me lets talk about this photo.

After doing all the same same with the temple dogs

I stopped at 2C's home with hopes of communicating

with the lone monk who lives there. Surprisingly he can

speak a limited amount of English, very limited but good

enough to start a dialog. In the past I would just stop by an

leave supplies with instructions written in Thai.. Something

else I found out is the cat loves to eat the same kibble that

the dogs like so much too. Mr Monk invited me inside of the

building for a look see. Not as big inside as it appears on the

outside but it is a two story building with different rooms on both floors. The stair case going upstairs is steep with very narrow steps.

Means I kept a firm grip on the handrail while going up and down.

Now this next part is to answer a question posted by MiniS who asked about the blue and gold sign hanging over the entrance.

It says this building was built with funds donated by many Buddhists

in order for an elderly monk to have a nice home to live in comfort.

My guess is that monk would be the head monk who started this

rather large project well over 40 years ago.If it is the same

monk he sadly died of a heart attack about 30 years ago.

At that time the jungle slowly devoured the buildings and

everything stopped, except the monkeys, they never stop !

When I showed up The Dog Palace was a large cement

structure consumed by jungle. A ghost covered by vines.

In the last few years I've witnessed painting of some buildings.

The Dog Palace for example plus a few others. Here and there

things have improved. In the past packs of wild dogs caused

great problems but for the most part that has been quelled now.

The photo of 2C was taken with the resident monk not far away.

Step by step I am getting closer and closer to Mr 2C.

The cat is another matter. The minute I stop said cat

is meowing and rubbing all over me, there's probably

a joke there but I'll leave that one up to you ..............;-)~

Back Story .........................................

Before we get into the back story I want any and all

"fav collectors" as well as "contact collectors" to read

the new rules in my profile. I'm not the only one who's

doing this ! If your just a collector this site isn't 4 you !

10's of thousands, 100's of thousands and in a few

cases 1,2,3 million fav's is just plain Ludicrous !

For years I've answered all the comments and it's

quality comments that keep me energized.

And for those comments I humbly thank you ... ;-)

Alright,

Now lets discuss this photo and how it has

come to be sense the card reader went tits up !

Met with my friend The SideCar Man who can

do MoJo on computers and related stuff.

Card reader has died, can't be fixed, it's dead !

So what we did was up load the CF card in the

slot on the front of his computer then did a copy

an paste onto my thumb drive. The CF slot on the

front of my computer won't read the card.

This is C2's home, completely surrounded by swamp.

On the right you can see the raised bridge that was

referred to in the last uploaded photo.

Note the dark water line on the rocks, this indicates

how high the tide rises the swamp up everyday.

The occupants of this building are as follows.

One Cat

One Monk.

One Older Dog

One Younger Dog.

The two dogs receive medications

and kibble from your donations as

does all the temple dogs who live

here at the monkey temple.

The monk also feeds them from his

daily alms bowl so the cat makes out like

"A Fat Cat" an the dogs are "Lucky Dogs".

As for the CF card reader I'm working on it.

Look close and you can see 2C on the corner.

Thank You.

The 1900 built Midland Railway type 2C box, which presumably replaced another previous iteration is a small box with a level crossing controlled by a console on the quiet road outside. It's difficult to find out too much about the history of the box on line.

The box is currently surrounded by scaffolding - as befits its crumbling status! The door just out of sight to the right of the shot is a conduit for rainwater and the floor is often swamped when rain falls - the pitfalls of managing largely wooden constructions over 125 years old! Blea Moor box has recently undergone a huge makeover following similar issues.

When I acquired my first of these cameras it was as well kept for a 90 year old camera as one could have possibly been. There was no dust on it. I laid it on a table underneath the chandelier and exposed it. There were pinhole light leaks, distortion, and lens flare, but the clarity was just amazing and the negative was nearly 6 inches long. This lens went to one of my homemades and it has taken some awesome images since that time. On Kodak Plus-X Pan from 1991 and developed in D76.
