Been taking some pictures of the roses that are doing well this year.
Got some typical shots but tried some ICM shots as they were moving about anyway.

Lapwing 2
I have long loved the lapwing’s cry:
it is wildness walking on the wind.
It sidles into clouds, pennywhistles
its way to heaven, routs the lower
eddies, tells beautiful tales of nests
and speckled eggs, fills hearts
when bleakness comes full-on
in withering blasts. It is bright metal,
cast in moulds of air: its uprush
and its plummet leave the sky
astir with plaintiveness, plunging
death-songs, descants and lies.

O Vale do Ribeira apresenta ecossistemas aquáticos (rio, estuário e mar) e terrestres (duna, mangue, restinga e floresta ombrófila densa).A região é destacada pela preservação de suas matas e por grande diversidade ecológica. Seus mais de 2,1 milhões de hectares de florestas equivalem a aproximadamente 21% dos remanescentes de Mata Atlântica existentes no Brasil, sendo a maior área contínua de um ecossistema do Brasil. Neste conjunto de áreas preservadas são encontradas não apenas florestas, mas importantes comunidades indígenas, comunidades quilombolas, comunidades caiçaras, imigrantes e uma biodiversidade em plena preservação.
