voici ce que dit l'Artiste de cet ensemble de pièces :
On appelle mouche toute imitation, généralement d’insectes (les éphémères), aquatiques la plupart du temps, utilisée par les pêcheurs à la mouche. Habituellement mesurant 2 cm au plus, ici les mouches sont imposantes.
Des compositions à l’origine éphémères de par leur utilisation, sont détournées dans l’idée de les conserver.
Ambiguïté entre macération végétale et matières animales qui vient retourner le leurre contre celui qui les observe.
Unimaginative title, perhaps that's what you get when you upload a picture at 7 am. This effort is the 2nd of two pictures I processed from a quick shoot a couple of weeks back. Same groyne, different angle.

A group of students from Mallow pictured at De La Salle College, Waterford. Many of the young Corkmen are wearing the Fáinne rings and/or Pioneer badges on their lapels, showing that they speak Irish (enthusiastically) and abstain from alcohol.

The camera is a Yashica Minitec AF - an interesting P&S camera in that it has a 32mm focal length lens that is reputedly a four element design based on the original Zeiss Tessar. If so it makes the camera not that dissimilar from the now-cult Yashica T4.
It has its disadvantages - no control whatsoever being entirely auto and a flash that cannot be switched off. As a small, discreet and fairly quiet camera (it has motorised film advance) it may make a good street shooter. They're also remarkably cheap!
For such a cheap camera, cheap film and a low res scan it's made a decent fist of difficult lighting conditions. (It has a tripod mount!! ...essential for this shot) It's worth comparing this with the image taken the same day on a modern digital camera on my photostream: www.flickr.com/photos/fish95th/16476791514/
Film: Agfa Vista Plus 200 developed at Asda and a low resolution scan (1840x1232) giving a 2.3MP image! Asda, laughingly, calls this their 'high-res' scan - however it's fine for proofing purposes.

We left our Flame Throwers, and indstead we readied our Napalm Det Packs. We would plant them throughout the forest instead of grapling up the trees. After a few clicks we reached a point were it all started to over grow. This place is getting more and more mysterious each passing minute.
"Sir, I saw movement!"
"Were soilder?"
"Up there, by those rocks."
I looked up to see nothing but a few floating rocks... with water coming from them?
"I don't see anything."
"Wait, Sir, the life form scanner, I'm sensing small vibration overhead."
"How many meters?"
"You aren't going to belive me sir but, right on to--"
"WATCH IT SIR!"
Tipper fires a shot, by then i'm staring the creature dead in the face.
The shot was perfecly timed, sending the Tarisin to the gound with more than a landing.
"AHHUGH!!"
"Pillbox!"
"Get this blasted thing off me..."
"Good shot."
Tipper responded with nothing but a nod.
"Allright then, keep a good look out."
