Amtrak Ethan Allen Express 291 rolls into the station in Rutland on a frigid mid-February night in 2025. Leading the way up from New York City was AMTK 708, a GE P32AC-DM wearing a coat of Empire Service Phase III paint.
This bus was new to Lothian Buses as 291 in 2021.

These 4 fully electric buses were a £1.7million project that was funded as a flagship project of SP Energy Networks’ £20million Green Economy Fund.

Este pequeño pontón de tres bocas fue reconstruido de nuevo en 2018 tras varias riadas que acabaron inutilizando el vado y cubriendo de piedras, rocas y barro el pequeño salto, la fuente y destrozando casi todo en esta zona del rio.

Today, two wonderful people graduated from high school. Lauren and Gina, you are two of the most insanely talented, kind and amazing people I know. Graduating from high school is one of the most monumental moments in your lifetime: it is the day when you stop being a child, when you are no longer a dependent. You are now adults, you are your own people, depending only on yourself. You are standing on the edge of something right now. Behind you is your past, your childhood, everything that has formed you, that has made you what you are. Ahead of you is a vast, wide ocean: the future, the unknown. College, work, boyfriends, disappointment, achievement, despair and happiness beyond belief. You have no idea what's ahead of you. But you are both so incredibly strong. You are both determined, and hopeful, and you will run after your dreams. You are going to change the world. Everything is at your fingertips. Yes, it will be hard, but you are a fighter. You are going to do so much. You are going to inspire people. You are going to take the world by storm.
So take a breath. Revel in it. In the moment inbetween. And then look ahead, at that vast, wide ocean. And take a plunge.
And, darling.
Give 'em hell.

I shot this through a window, so its all reflections, no textures.
I don't think this will be to everyones taste, but thats ok.
I re-dsigned my website over the weekend, so go have a look. It looks better - a lot cleaner and fresher, less distracting.

It was fun to see how perfect I made this exposure as it was an obvious light difference here!
I decided to take the weekend off from taking photos. It's been my primary focus for a few weeks now, and it was starting to feel a little stifling. I'm now finding myself a little devoid of inspiration, but hey, shit happens. I'm hoping for foggy weather tomorrow during the day so I can have a whole day to shoot. Hope you all had a lovely weekend - mine was lovely but exhausting!

BYD Alexander Dennis Enviro 400EV City, number 291 (LG21 JDF) rests in the sunshine at Torphin; one of Edinburgh’s most scenic termini.
BYD is a Chinese company; the world's leading manufacturer in battery technology, energy management and electric vehicles. Since 2019 they have joined forces with Alexander Dennis in Falkirk to provide the bus and coach market with an all-electric double decker bus. Lothian is at the start of this long journey to provide all electric public transport to Edinburgh and the project is funded in partnership with SP Energy Networks.
The £1.7million project was funded as a flagship project of SP Energy Networks’ £20million Green Economy Fund, to enable Edinburgh to take a major step in its voyage towards the city becoming Net Zero by 2030.
These buses will bring immediate benefits to the city and the communities in which they operate, helping improve the city’s air quality and delivering multiple health benefits.
Our four new electrics have begun working on Service 10, between Western Harbour and Bonaly / Torphin.and these are my current favourite buses in the Lothian fleet. Seeing them in the distance reminds me of the first eight London Borismasters which worked initially on Service 38 – a route that employs over 60 buses.
