The Soulages museum is a museum of contemporary art located in Rodez, in the Aveyron region Occitanie. Built to exhibit works by the French painter Pierre Soulages, it also receives temporary exhibitions from other contemporary artists.

Pierre Soulages, born December 24, 1919 in Rodez in the Aveyron, is a French painter and engraver associated since the late 1940s with abstract art. He is particularly known for his use of the reflections of the black color, which he calls "black-light" or "outrenoir"
