It was pretty nice out today, for a change! I stopped off on the way over Corney Fell for this photograph looking back towards Beckstones and the Duddon Fells.
A supremely chilled day (once I'd got back from parkrun, which I was very chuffed to have motivated myself to do all on my own) - the house is so much quieter with one child away, and after we'd popped into Wimbledon for a wagamama lunch with Adam, Hannah and Rosa, the house got even quieter with Nick and Eli off to watch rugby at Twickenham. Thea and I had a lovely afternoon of lego building - I'm not usually allowed to help, but the lack of numbered packs in the 'creator' boxes meant that finding individual pieces was a bit tricky, so that became my job. We listened to the Six soundtrack (again), chatted away, and completed the pirate rollercoaster just before the boys got home for the penultimate Hannukah lighting.
Had a little play with some oil and water on top of a cd. Am a little disappointed in the colours I could get - they looked much better with the naked eye.

Research of The Turner prize, including 2007 nominee Nathan Coley. I wanted to look at The Turner Prize because it has such controversy surrounding its purpose/legitimacy yet still remains so prominent within the art world. I find Coley's work to be beautiful in its simplicity in conveying messages.
