This bus was new to Lothian Buses as 285 in 2017.

This is one of 6 fully electric buses Lothian currently (lol) have with more on order. They are identical to the B8RLEs for ECB, but shorter wheelbase. The only visual difference is the battery pod on the roof.
Lothian have made a good job of using the unusual pod, to adapt their new livery to.
These have 300 kWh of power, when fully charged and can run 130 miles. They will be mainly on the 1, with the next batch due to make Edinbugh's first fully electric bus route.
They do need taken out of service to be charged, unlike the hybrids, with another waiting to take over (7900s currently take over until the next batch arrive).
