A massive intermodal cut for a future BNSF Z Train gets hauled out of Alliance Yard by a pair of unique ITSX EMDs in Haslet, TX. Leading is ITSX #2839, a former SP SD40T-2 downgraded from SD45 specs, and second is ITSX #4027, an EMD SD39. These intermodal terminal servicing crews regularly work around Alliance Yard throughout the day, with multiple sets assigned to intermodal or autorack duties. If you’d asked me what I’d expect to find when I first researched the DFW area before I moved out here, one of the last things I’d ever think I’d see was a tunnel motor taking the point of an intermodal train (7/1/23).
Nu dat Mattias voor de eerste keer die dag voorbijgereden was, konden we ons verplaatsen en klaarzetten voor de terugrit.
We gingen dus iets westelijker staan waar we spijtig genoeg steeds meer last kregen van de voorbijtrekkende wolken. Toen deze cargo voorbijtrok - ons aangekondigd met de sms "trammetje op komst" - viel alles wel nog goed in zijn plooi.
Voor mij trouwens ook de laatste foto van een B-Logistics loc. Een aantal dagen later zouden die hun naam namelijk wijzigen in Lineas. Daarbij hoort natuurlijk een nieuw design, maar vooraleer dat op alle locs toegepast wordt, zal er toch nog wel water naar de zee vloeien ;-)

A brand new Desiro City for Thameslink (with number 700022) was transported through Belgium by a locomotive class 28 from B Logistics.
A few days later, B Logistics became a new name: Lineas - Your freight force. So, this was our last picture of B Logistics ever!
