Who needs coffee? Pomegranate seeds in a coffee cup. Tricky shot with only one flash, and I'm not overly happy with it, but it's not bad.
Usless pomegranate trivia - in ancient Greek myth, Persephone (the daughter of Zeus and Demeter) was abduced to the Underworld by Hades. While there, Hades gave her a pomegranate to eat which she ate 1/3 of. In eating the pomegranate she bound herself to Hades and the underworld for 1/3 of the year. Since Persephone was the goddess of the Harvest, nothing grew for 1/3 of the year - winter. And people told me that minor in Classics would never be useful.
In retrospect they may have been right.
Strobist info - snooted 430ex at camera left, 1/16th power, refelctor to camera right. I really can't wait until I get my other flashes and I can balance and fill a little better.
BNSF 2728 leads the L-KAN041 along the siding at DeSoto, KS on the BNSF Topeka Sub. A sharp eye can find the old telephone box for calling the dispatcher on the right side of the image and the last time I opened that box there was a snake inside of it so I've pretty much left it alone.

Als gebürtiger Düsseldorfer hat es mich schon sehr früh in die Ferne gezogen. Frankfurt, München, Wien, Graz und seit 1999 wohnhaft in Jennersdorf, im wunderschönen Südburgenland.
Im ausgeübten Beruf als Werbegestalter und Grafiker (1966-1992) aber auch in der Selbständigkeit (bis 2012) ist die bildende Kunst immer allgegenwärtig gewesen.
Meine Leidenschaft sind Experimente mit verschiedenen Hilfsmitteln und Materialien wie zum Beispiel:
Kurzfilme mit und ohne Kamera - Kodak-Sofortbilder ganz ohne Kamera - Negativstreifen und Dias anders gesehen - PC-Fehler zur kreativen Weiterverarbeitung verwenden - Digitalfotografie und ihre Möglichkeiten mit einem Apple-Computer kombinieren und verfeinern - und bis heute noch vieles mehr entdecken...
