haha, i tried my hardest to get my finger in the right place, and this was the closest i could get.
The previous day's Amtrak 5 shows up in style as it crawls through Alta with a duo of Union Pacific motors on the point. Trailing about a half hour behind this train would be that day's 5 with a trio of P42s. Both 5s would be late that day with one being 27 hours late and the other being 3 hours.
We went to the beach this weekend, pretty much not leaving me anytime to recuperate from my trip. We immediately jumped in the water and never came out. So this week, I decided to use the go pro image because it illustrates so much better how much fun we have had. I wouldn't dare bringing my other camera into the water like this.. lol
I like trees because they seem more resigned to the way they have to live than other things do.
We as a species worry too much, I think.
I know I don't do a lot of pictures outside, but I really do love my backyard and intend to change my bad habit of using my bedroom wall most of the time.
Today, I shall spend the day writing and reading and eating caramel ice cream. Hope you all have a lovely day as well!
Day 27- I thought I'd be ready to quit by now, but I'm not even tired yet. Thanks for all the feedback, everyone. Lately it's been nice to get all of these comments! Really. It means a lot.

M27 / NGC 6853 is a planetary nebula in Vulpecula, at a distance of about 1,360 light years. The central star, a pre-white dwarf, is estimated to have a radius which is 0.055±0.02 R☉ which gives it a size larger than any other known white dwarf. The central star mass was estimated in 1999 by Napiwotzki to be 0.56±0.01 M☉.
This object was the first planetary nebula to be discovered by Charles Messier in 1764. it is easily visible in binoculars and small telescopes.

Oh, and can tell you that I've stuck my head through that lot a few times back in the day, sure twangs the ol' ears.
Oh good Lord, I am gigantic. But somehow still smiling. Probably because Kat made my hair look so cute.
First of all, thank you all so very very much for your good wishes, positive vibes and kind words.
In the meantime we've been to the clinic, where it was confirmed that he has indeed torn his cruciate ligament.
For a dog of his size the only solution is surgery. Which (of course) costs a fortune and is not without risk, with all his issues, big and little problems and the fact that he's 14 years already.
But as you can see in above picture, he's still full of life (and a real goofball sometimes :-)), and so we have decided to go through with it. He'll undergo surgery in two weeks.
Please keep the good thoughts and positive energy coming, he certainly can use it.
A simple one from me today - just arrived home from Norfolk! Was a wonderful trip, very full :-) Will update properly with tomorrow's 365! Shattered. Bed!!
