I had been reading about the geomagnetic storm with good chances for northern lights on the night of June 22 2015 and went out to have a look. I really thought it would be too bright too see anything, that was clear, forget about seeing northern lights in Scandinavia in mid June.

 

Riddarfjärden, literally The Knight Firth, is a bay of Lake Mälaren in central Stockholm.

Golden-capped Parakeet, Jandaia-de-testa-vermelha, Aratinga auricapillus aurifrons, 30 cm. / 11.8 in. Mainly semi-deciduous forest. Also at edge of humid forest, including remnants surrounded by open habitats; plantations.

Hoopoe/Abubilla (Explored)

Taken just as the drought started. This spring fed trough went dry in August. Now, 5 years later, it's almost November and not a drop of rain again. I hope we're not in for another dry spell.

 

We are having a late migration this year, almost 3-4 months late. And they're competing with house finches which have just arrived.
