Fun Fact: I ordered this little guy from Amazon and I thought I was getting the black Beetle. It seems someone wanted me to have the yellow one. Fate? Hehe! He's cute either way and I love him all the same. :)

I am just about done with my Christmas cards this year! I love writing out personalized cards. Everyone gets something special written to them. Each year I write the local shut in's and those in nursing homes. Try it for yourself this year. You never know when your card could be the difference in making someone's Christmas special.

Each year we go out to find that perfect tree that will become our ONE. I have been trying to make it a habit to post a picture of our beautiful tree as we see it. Here is this year's new addition to the family. It was a sort of odd this year though, no snow! It was a little depressing but still, it is about making memories.....not whether it snowed. We found our ONE regardless, our perfect Christmas Tree. :)

May your Christmas be merry and bright. May all your dreams come true. Merry Christmas to all my lovely Flickr friends. I appreciate each one of you. I look forward to a new year of your photography!

Fun Fact: I wanted to do something I’ve never done and I couldn’t help myself. This year I was so inspired and thought it’d be great to bring out my Christmas album with a bang! This lead me to thinking, with a suggestion from a friend, to add a flying Santa sleigh to the moon. I debated back and forth but decided, it’s Christmas. Step out of the box and do something magical!

Merry Christmas to all of my Flickr friends. I was unable to finish my 25 days of Christmas this year due to a family emergency but I am able to wish you all a Merry Christmas and we can hope for a happier new year. :)

My first shot of my Christmas album for 2020. I took 2 different shots last night and ended up not liking either. I hurried around today searching the house frantically for something to take a shot of of and came up with this. I hope it is a good enough start to my 25 Days of Christmas.

Fun Fact: I made the teeny wreath out of a pipe cleaner. I cut the ribbon in half to make it smaller for the bow and then glued it all together. Of course first of which again gluing my hands and everything else but the wreath, haha!

I am a geek for Christmas songs. As soon as Sirius XM gets their Christmas channels up, I am listening. I find it relaxing. The Holiday Traditions is my favorite. I love that old time feel that the greats like Dean Martin, Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra bring to the season. :)

I saw this in a magazine, Real Simple. It was an article on how to make brown paper packages look nice. It said, "Sketch a jar on your paper with a white wax pencil, then tie a few small springs of dried flowers and foliage to the box with a simple piece of twine." I thought it was a lovely idea but instead of doing it on a package I did it on a piece cardboard. I thought I would put it in a shadowbox or frame and set it out. It is very classy for Christmas, I think.

Fun Fact: I did not use a wax pencil. I don't even know what that is, haha. I used chalk and it worked great. :)

The things we will do for pictures. I drove clear across town to get my camera and then all the way back to this tree to take this image. Not to mention, wind was whipping and it was snowing something awful. But, it was totally worth it. :)

So here starts me trying to figure up something Christmas themed to fit Macro Mondays. This one was pretty easy, lets hope next week is as well. ;)

Right? At least that is what I tell myself. Haha! Sort of like day drinking; a bloody mary is alright to have in the morning because its tomato juice......right? Hehe

We made our second batch of cookies, Peanut Butter kisses, Peanut Butter balls, and fudge. We packed them nicely in cute Christmas tins. We will give them to our family and friends to enjoy. A happy tradition we love doing together. :)

I took this in the beginning of my Christmas countdown but had not been sure to post it. I found it in my LR edit folder and reconsidered posting it. When I’d looked at it again it appeared to me to be sort of magical. With Christmas nearing and being filled with magic itself I thought it would be a great time to post this. Merry Christmas!

I know this isn't in my usual spirit and this movie is rather crude but it doesn't hurt to have an all out laugh once in awhile. :)

The road might be long. The road might even seem impassable and too cold too bare....but try. Never give up! Push to overcome it. It is the narrow road; the road less traveled that always leads to home. It is Christmas time, a time when miracles can happen if only you try.

I want to personally thank everyone that helped my image get to Explore. This is my very first ever. If it wasn't for all your kind comments and faves it wouldn't have happened. Thank you Flickr friends, you're all awesome! :)

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas Lyrics

9 of 25 Days of Christmas

I am now finishing up my Christmas cards, over 75 this year, oh boy! Each year I write cards to all the older people, shut in's at home or in nursing homes that might not get cards. I don't know if it brightens their Christmas, but I sure hope it does. We all need a little extra love on Christmas, especially this year. The lyrics to "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" are perfect....next year, all our troubles will be gone. We will be with our families and our friends. Please, keep your spirits bright!
