Sunrise over the Highwood Pass while skiing (nordic) Highway 40 last winter.

I don't know what it is about trees when the leaves have fallen, but I just love them.

A couple of helper units push a Norfolk Southern coal drag upgrade through Portage, PA past the aging Pennsylvania Railroad signals. The track on the right leads to a coal mine before rejoining the main line.
