After bringing 251 west, and tying it down at the reload in Jackman and going off duty, I went back down to grab a shot of the 7022 that was leading. A somewhat uncommon lashup of two SD70ACUs bracketing an AC44 show off the drifting encountered while heading west over the Moosehead.
With a freshly rebuilt SD70ACU for a leader, 251 glides over the East Outlet of the Kennebec River, one of Maine's most prominent rivers. I took advantage of the fact that we didn't have any spare engineers available this day to get a few shots of the SD70 leading, as we've only gotten a handful of them since CP took over the CMQ, and I was working the previous times one ran.

Led by one of Canadian Pacific's specially painted ES44s commemorating the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, 251 is seen rolling west at Moosehead, crossing the East Outlet. The falls colors are starting to get pretty good on the Moosehead west of Greenville, but unfortunately they haven't quite reached peak here yet.
I've stared at this for a long long time, definitely did not turn out as I wanted it to! Especially sad when this happens to food I make as well

With a lengthy train behind them, the trio of grungy GEs powering 251 are getting a good workout as they pull west up the hill out of Onawa. This was a nice period shortly after the takeover of the CMQ when CP was running a morning eastbound, and an early afternoon westbound.
